Dante’s cleaning habits are almost nonexistent. If it doesn’t smell or isn’t noticeable, it’s not a problem. [This includes the shop, his clothes, his weapons]

Dante rarely sleeps through the night and is prone to pacing his shop or working himself to near exhaustion. There is also the nights when he will turn to drinking in order to sleep.

In regards to alcohol, while he is not dependant on it, he does not have a healthy relationship with it, or for that matter, he doesn’t have a healthy relationship with any substance.

Dante actively has to work hard not to be bitter towards his family and his past. He teeters between ‘well it happened move on’ to blaming parties involved.

Dante has a habit of trying to keep almost everyone at some kind of distance because he truly believes sooner or later they’re going to abandon him or stab him in the back front.

Dante will refuse to pass on any family lineage- not saying that his bloodline is cursed, but they don’t have great success at happiness.

Dante would love to not deal with any of this demon bullshit, but he’s fully aware that he’s taken up Sparda’s job and it’s now his job to deal with the aftermath of Hell.

He has a soft spot for animals but with his job he knows he can’t have any- it would be irresponsible and he doesn’t need the end result on his conscious.

   ❝cut the bullshit, emo batman, you’re not going to martyr yourself on my watch.❞ he plays his enigmatic role to top performance around all of them, constantly serving as a slight temptation to dante’s curious mind. the way he talks, his origins and if he assumed the older hybrid wasn’t paying attention, his skills didn’t lack for a mere human. so what exactly was v? better yet, who? it’s a combination of wanting to trust and get to know him that adds to dante’s already strong protectiveness. once you join the squad, everyone looks out for everyone no matter what. ❝i get that you have this mystery shrouding you and that’s your thing, but don’t think for a second none of us care about you. including me, all jokes aside right now. if you’re with me, with us, we protect each other. tell me that again and so help me, i will beat you with your own goddamn book.❞

Sometimes getting arrested and hitching a ride on a police car from an officer relative is the exact same thing

like i believe dante knew what the fuck was going on  --  like he’s got good hearing there’s no way he couldn’t hear the conversation going on.  and just  , ,  woof the whole scene was radical and nuts.  like he knew something was going on   --  but then there’s the other thing where i feel dante wanted to end this himself.  that his brother was his responsibility and wanted this to be his doing.
