Scenario for the contract end
I have an idea for the last night of our earl’s life, if the contract ends, and Sebastian collects our earl’s soul on the eve of the twins’ 14th birthday. That would be December 13, 1889, which falls on a Friday the 13th.
Remember in Kuromyu2, The Most Beautiful Death In World, when Sebastian kills Eric, and the souls fall around like snow or twinkling lights? They comment how beautiful that looks.
And we have been reminded how the twins were born at the peak of the Geminids, the meteor shower that crosses Earth’s path mid December.
Combine elements of both, and you get our earl and/or Sebastian outside and commenting how beautiful the Geminids look when the contract ends and Sebastian is collecting our earl’s soul.
I can envision two major versions of this:
They are outside, and Sebastian is about to collect our earl’s soul. Our earl sees the meteor shower and comments on it. Maybe Sebastian does, too. Maybe they even both watch it for a little while before Sebastian devours his soul. Maybe Sebastian keeps watching it afterwards. Maybe he doesn’t say anything in reply to our earl until afterwards, once our earl is dead and his soul has been devoured.
They are outside, and Sebastian devours our earl’s soul. Afterwards, Sebastian notices the meteor shower and just watches it for awhile, perhaps commenting about it... to himself? To our earl’s lifeless body? To us?
