12.03.18 / 1:23 a.m.
Wow, today was eventful.
I visited my boyfriend and we had Chili’s and coffee.
Then, I went to my friend’s dorm and we had food in her food court/student cafe and we did our homework and studied. I took my last Psychology exam (unit 4) and got a 90%! Not bad at all. :)
Then, I went home and I had to re-do my entire final presentation for my First Year Experience class, I’m presenting tomorrow (today 12/3 at 6:30 p.m.) and still haven’t practiced it so tomorrow I will time myself and present it to my laptop I guess (on video).
I am staying up later than I should be for sure, but I had to re-do my final tonight because there’s so much going on tomorrow. At 11:30 a.m. I had a meeting with my academic advisor, her name is Jennifer and we will go over my academic path. I think I’ll be changing my college of choice for transferring my Associate’s credits into the Bachelor’s program for Psychology/Psychological Science. Originally, I was thinking NKU, now I’m thinking UC.
Not once this semester have I dropped below an ‘A’ letter grade in my Psy-110 course and I am really proud of that. I understood the material well and I’m on my way to becoming something that will change the world.
Besides that, this week was successful, I got a new job! I also start that job tomorrow (again with the packed schedule tomorrow). Here’s what my day looks like:
Wake up 8-9 a.m.
Advisor mtg 11:30-12:30 p.m.
Job training (day 1) 2:45-4:00 p.m.
Last class and Final Presentation 6:30 p.m. - 8:20 p.m.
But it will be cool to finish my semester at CState, for the most part (semester ends 12/15). I will not be attending classes Spring 2019 because unfortunately, I do have to pay off my semester out of pocket again. It’s about $2400, but I have a side gig delivering food and made $165 this week which I’d otherwise be putting towards my school debt IF - I didn’t have to put towards an oil change and other things because I won’t get paid from my job training for a couple weeks with the pains of new-hire onboarding. Bleh. But it’ll all pan out, this year is going to end with a bang. New job, and then just 2 1/2 months (roughly) until a much-needed vacation to the Bahamas!
Our first cruise will be magical.
Stay tuned for some photos I’ve taken recently on my “Visual Journal” page.
End of December/end of year update
Well today is the last day of 2016. And oh man what a year this has been. I think everyone can agree that 2016 was an explosive year. So much happened both good and bad. I know for my husband and I it has been filled with some of our biggest highs and lowest lows. This year has been a struggle. This is the year we got married. This year we spent a combined time of about 4 months unemployed. We…
