"Kirachii. I got you a present." and it was still in the bag, his cheeks slightly red. "Take it already." Inside would be a small plushie of the ever popular Jack Frost wearing of all things a JOKER mask.
Goro was... too cute for words.
How could this boy be the same black masked murderer who caused so much havoc in Tokyo?
Of course, Akira had long believed life could change for anyone. Idealistic, perhaps, but even someone like Shido was not beyond changing. As far as he was concerned, Goro was just as capable as anyone to become a good person.
Perhaps Akira was a bit biased, though. Maybe.
Akira laughs, (the urge to lean over and kiss his adorable moron is near irresistible) grins and watches Goro’s expressions carefully. Honestly, Akira has never been good at accepting gifts, especially not unexpected ones. He liked to give them much more, though he tries his hardest not to show any minor anxiety it inspires within him.
So maybe it was stalling when he accepted the bag and held it shut.
“Hahah! To think, my dear Detective Prince isn’t so perfect as he likes to show. It’s precious, really. I think I like this. Perhaps I should make you wait, just a little longer to see a bit more of it.”
But his gaze softens, Akira turns his eyes down to the bag and begins to speak again. “But, I won’t torture you like that. This is... really sweet of you. Thank you. I appreciate it.”
Gifts... He’d have to put thought into something to get for Goro in return.
He reaches into the bag to retrieve the plush doll, immediately excited at the sight. As much as anyone else, Akira adored Jack Frost (and the excitement he felt upon meeting it as a Shadow and Persona was a feeling impossible to describe). It was perfect, each feature, aside from one.
Ever since the day Shido’s calling card came out, ever since the Phantom Thieves became an Urban Legend, this mask and the others were all over the place.
This was something exciting. His mask, on a Jack Frost doll?
“This is... the coolest.”
