Shattered Illusions: Navigating the Maze of Non-Recognised Qualifications in Australia with Heartfelt Insights
No, most employers in Australia require a qualification that is nationally recognised. This education provider is NOT nationally recognised in Australia and would very likely NOT result in any actual employment upon completion of the courses that are offered. Maybe if you are looking for some knowledge on a more personal level, but as I said, professionally it is extremely unlikely that you would actually succeed with employment based upon a certification from them. Out of curiosity, I did also contact them to see what kind of information they are willing to provide and how they handle specific questions put to them in relation to the qualifications they offer, and I found them to be very contradicting, defensive, almost nervous, and extremely evasive. Overall, they are only ensuring themselves legally by making sure that they do not straightforwardly tell you that you will have a qualification that is legally and industry regulated in Australia. However, within the qualification names and within the way they present their site, to an average person with very little knowledge they are most likely able to deceptively lead people into believing that they can genuinely gain employment within Australia with the qualification, when in fact, that is extremely unlikely to occur. I find this to be absolutely unconscionable and I personally would never find myself spending money to enrol there in the hopes that I could actually gain employment. Example of deception that I discovered – The certificate in counselling and psychology, if a person who has little knowledge in relation to higher education were to read that title, they could possibly believe that they could use that certificate to either gain employment in the field of psychology, or respectively gain a pathway into further education. However, that certificate will NOT give you the opportunity to do either of those things and therefore should not be named that at all.
