Shortly before the timeline of Preordained, Decima’s mortal girlfriend Krystalline dies in a freak accident. Despite not being there at the time, Decima blames herself and a lot of her actions in her first character arc are driven by her grief. Later, the Moirai sisters find out that Krys’s death happened as a result of the secret war between the gods, and that fuels their hatred for the gods even more(they weren’t fans to begin with).
