Measure thrice; cut once
Our deck’s rebirth in Trex is proceeding satisfactorily, if not perfectly.
There have been a few false starts, a couple of miscues, some sidetracking and a handful of weather delays.
Working with composite decking is not radically different than working with standard wood boards. I would, however, recommend measuring thrice, not twice, before cutting; the boards I’m using are 32 bucks each.
Whenever the project starts to feel like a lot of labor, I think about all the maintenance work I’ll avoid in the future.
