SEASONS OF THE WITCH: IMBOLC ORACLE DECK REVIEW

Rockpool Publishing sent over the Seasons of the Witch: Imbolc Oracle for me to review and share with you. I was so pleasantly surprised by this one. I didn’t know I needed a deck for Imbolc but apparently I do because this one is deep!

The Imbolc Oracle just released November 1st but I got an early copy!

Imbolc is often celebrated on February 1st or 2nd and marks the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. And this Imbolc deck succeeds in striking a balance between these two very different seasons with a palette of whites, light and dark blues, and browns with touches of yellows and light greens sprinkled throughout to represent that time between those final weeks of winter before we reemerge into the light to welcome spring. The cards even have a subdued blue cardback with a calming array of lit candles and shiny icy-blue edging! Gorgeous and soothing.

We've got cards like Dark Days of Winter, Winter Besom, Brigid, Dream Realm, Winter Woodlands, Weather Divination, and Groundhog

And I’m loving the custom spreads they include in all their guidebooks. In my deck review I share the Candle Dressing Spread using the Imbolc Oracle. It was a great reading!

Epic Tarot

Epic Tarot Deck from Riccardo Minetti and Paolo Martinello at first glance seems to be a darker take on fantasy decks, with art featuring giant statues and equally large strange monsters, but upon closer inspection, this deck stands alone as a powerful tool for divination.

Cat Tarot

There are a lot of really unique tarot decks out there that speak to many specific niches. Cat Tarot by Carole-Anne Eschenazi is one such deck. The beautiful cards feature movie-inspired cat people and very little traditional tarot imagery. Be sure not to dismiss this as merely a gimmick deck. These cards may be full of whimsy, but they are no joke.

i purchased the Who Oracle Deck.

it came in a yellow packaging envelope, the usual, but it had a stamp saying "Thank You for your business" on it. i found that so cute and personable, especially for it to be on the standard mail packaging ya know?

the deck came in a small, cute pink draw bag. the cards are sturdy yet flexible. the pictures on them are vivid in color, and they're easy to shuffle! but before even looking at the deck, a purple note fell out!

the owner hand-wrote a thank you message!! it had my name and everything on it! again, this made the deck seem more personable and made me feel connected to them. V also wished that I had fun using and bonding with the deck which clued my in that they put care into choosing which deck i got, and the other things included!

i got some extras/gifts which we totally unexpected! one card was an angel number message, the other was a color/paint message, and two cards came from two other decks V makes! the messages seemed to be connected and was almost like a mini future spouse reading which was very unexpected!

overall, i'm definitely about to buy a few other decks from V, and i totally recommend that if you're a tarot/oracle deck reader (or want to get into tarot/oracle readings) you purchase a deck or two from them :)

i purchased Timing and Action: an Oracle Deck and Tarot Companion.

again, it came in the usual and felt a little thick which made me very excited!

the deck came in a plastic wrap and had little gifts on top of it! the deck itself is very pretty! i'm so excited to use it! the words are clear and easy to read, shuffling is so easy, and it has a nice amount of cards that ensures they thoroughly thought about what they included (it includes things like seasons, time frames [ie. a year], atrological signs, and tons more).

as for the gifts, i got a yes/no/maybe die, a paper fortune teller thing that people used to make in middle school, a postcard detailing the moon phases for 2022, a fortune telling, and a tarot card. again, it felt really personable, and the reading was unexpected but aligned, and i appreciated it.

overall, i totally recommend that if you're a tarot/oracle deck reader (or want to get into tarot/oracle readings) you purchase a deck or two from them :)

I found a French tarot site with some deck reviews that I'm really enjoying. I find many reviews are overly positive - a side effect of creators providing reviewers with free advance copies? Or perhaps just a cultural reluctance to criticize.

I prefer an honest critique with concrete examples of what the reviewer likes and doesn't like, and that's what this guy delivers. The site's at https://en.tarotquest.fr/index.php

Deck Review: Little Reminders Love & Relationships

I've had this deck for about 10 years but never used them publicaly until now. I had got this deck because it was different and interesting.

The pamphlet is below which details how to read the cards which I think is pretty simple because you read each section row by row starting with the Title, Advice, Poem of each card and it gives you a complete "story" to get the "answer" to your question.
