It had been a long day for Ella, between solving cases and doing tests in her lab for results to help further the different cases she was surprisingly worn out when her work day was over. Packing up her things she finally left the room and passed by some desks in the main part of the building and noticed Chloe. Although nothing may of been wrong, it just seemed by the look on Chloe’s face that something was on her mind. Going over she gave a half smile.

“Hey Chloe, whats up?”

“i’m sorry, detective decker. all we have right now is speculation and,” eve sighed, running a hand through her unruly curls, “you and i both know that’s not good enough to run on.”

one investigator to another, she knew where chloe was coming from. knew that she wouldn’t be here asking eve for information without knowing that their cases were connected. and yet —

                 "hi, mommy!"   even though trixie knows she's in trouble for being up so late, she can't help but grin wide and throw her arms around her mother's waist. chin rests against her stomach, bouncing slightly.   "i woke up and got thirsty, so i was coming to get some water---"   she hadn’t counted on running into the older woman, quite literally, and scaring the daylights out of her. in trixie's defense, her mother had been creeping around the house in the dark.   "but then i remembered there were fresh cookies."   and yeah, she was definitely heading for those first. the water could wait.
