[5:38:13 PM] Haley: you know that scene when gansey walks in the courtroom and the judge is like “ah yes mr gansey! have you found your welsh king yet?” [5:38:26 PM] Haley: i'm pretty sure that's how declan's parents' friends got about him being minister [5:38:47 PM] Haley: "ah young claverdon! making headway on becoming minister yet?" [5:39:00 PM] Haley: and then the magical decree passed and they were all like ...oh [5:39:42 PM] Haley: and then he became head boy and they were all like overdramatically patting him on the shoulder like "knew you could do it! we expect great things from you!" [5:39:51 PM] Haley: because they felt like shit for making fun of him for all those years
For headcanon meme: football
Declan likes football, although it’s not his favorite sport. There’s only one ball, it’s played on the ground, and on a bad day, the most exciting thing about it is a man rolling around dramatically on the pitch. It doesn’t help that Declan isn’t the most graceful of people, and despite being enthusiastic, his enthusiasm doesn’t make up for the fact he’s just as likely to trip over his own feet at a critical moment as he is to make a goal.
He stumbled on his Premier League team of choice mostly by accident. His automatic answer to the question “What’s your team?” is the Wanderers, and Watford is at least close enough for him to lie about it if he slips up. (Which he does. Frequently.)
