Spectral!KO AU, in a nutshell, is a season three divergent AU. Sometime between Let's Meet Sonic and TKO Rules, KO ends up murdered/killed, and he becomes a ghost. It explores everyone's grief and all that delicious juicy angst, and it also explores KO's own experiences, as he's all alone, and even grieving himself.

I have a small series on AO3— THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE EVERYTHING, THOUGH! I have more unfinished writing and some various one-shots floating around on Discord and on Google Docs, if you're ever wanting to read more than what I currently have! Just ask me.

ANYWAY.

AS FOR DECOMPOSING!KO AU...

The name is as implied! KO is decomposing. It's a post-canon AU, and it takes place a faaaiiirrr bit after the show, but Rad and Enid are still there/haven't left yet. This one is also pretty fucked up, HA.

KO and his mom end up dying in a house fire that happens in the middle of the night. The cause of this remains unknown, but while asleep, KO had what he calls the "cornfield dream." It wasn't actually a dream, but rather, him beginning to go into the cornfield, before he was forcefully woken up from his sleep.

This, by any means, should not have been possible. There's no direct cause, but a combination of the death happening while he was asleep, alongside the fact he was subconsciously resisting death (because he didn't want to die), as well as him technicalllllyy just barely being alive when he was having the cornfield dream (he had a pulse that he had likely lost at the exact same time he got pulled back down), lead to... whatever this is.

TL;DR— Decomp is kind of a zombie. But he's a good kid. He's just, well, decomposing. His mom is dead, and his house is burned down, so he lives with PV. He's kind of a dumbass, ha, but he's a neat lil' skrunkly skrimblo.

Anyway uuhhh I've been wanting to make refs of my KOs for a long time, and while Internal Decomp isn't his own KO (he's literally. just decomp.), I still. really wanted to make a ref for him. so. uh. here
