Today’s fun find features Ms Codex 239, a manuscript that contains the six comedies of Terence. This manuscript was written in Germany in 1500.
I found these decorated initials particularly interesting due to the unique way in which they are decorated. From the ornamentation that extends from this initial, to the careful shading of the shapes within the lettering, and color scheme of green and pink, these initials are truly eye-catching.
