To Deserve
In the novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Chbosky writes, "We accept the love we think we deserve." I cannot stress how accurate this is. But I think that the word "love" here can be substituted for so many other phrases. Pizza. Friends. Respect. I fully believe that we may want something better, but we don't accept anything outside of what we deserve. Not to get all political here, but I wonder if we also accept the peace we think we deserve. Between the anger against police in the USA to the latest shootings in France, I think we should all consider how much peace we, and the earth as a whole, deserve.
I am now on a mission to decrease world suck as John Green would say. I hope to give a little love each day. I have completed 3 tasks so far: #1 Become register to he a bone marrow donor #2 Bought baked goods to support a local high school theater club #3 Made a donation at an Anthem lemonade stand to support the Children's Hospital at VCU. Stay tuned for more love giving!
If you don't already love Nerdfighteria
There's a World Cup tournament in which the country that donates the most, John Green will cheer for them. If that doesn't make you love the best community in the world, I don't know what will.
Procrastination
While we here at #worldsuckless are no experts on procrastination or ways to prevent it, we thought we should share an approachable and easy to follow look into why we procrastinate. The video isn't too long either so don't wait just watch!

Palm Oil is Killing More Than Just Orang-utans
Palm Oil is an oil derived from the fruits of the Oil Palm tree. Where this oil is most commonly being produced; Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, it's plantations are not only destroying rainforests and pushing Orang-utans into extinction, but are also exploiting extremely poor workers. Many workers flee from the city to travel off to giant Oil Palm plantations run by multi-national corporations. They are paid below the already low minimum wages and close to 25% of the workforce are children who get paid next to nothing. If this isn't already enough to turn you off of the oil, Orang-utans are murdered in the process, small farms are taken over with little compensation and the governments push for and support this giant Corporate industry. Palm Oil is in everything from your food (ie chocolate) to your cosmetics. There is pushback though, and this can stop, but only if you as well as other like-minded rational individuals employ the same caring and support for ending an industry responsible for deplorable atrocities.
