"It was all an act wasn't it..."
Eyes narrow, teeth clenching. Not one to show that much emotion, aside from false mixes of expressions, annoyance shines clearly upon features. It was an act. The whole thing. Taking time out of his day to make Sei less alone, if the male was even able to experience such an emotion after all the years. Trip was a man full to the brim with lies. It had spilled over. Fizzed until Sei could even see all the lies.
Because wasn’t that what people like him did? Spilled false words until the very essence of their existence is false? Sei was tough. Trip was selfish. This was going to hurt from the very beginning. Nothing about the two were safe.
"It was." There is only a hint of truth in syllables.
Trip would not tell him that tomorrow, Trip may die. Didn’t tell him that Trip, as tough as he was and appeared, was not going to brave what his job had him do next. Sure, Sei was head of Morphine. But there were things even he didn’t know about the inner workings.
Trip would probably be dead by the same time tomorrow.
