Devina Dediva's racially charged rants after Megan Young won the Miss World title has become the most talked about issue on social media this week, after it appeared on the @Photoworldmanila Facebook page spreading like wildfire and reached millions of Facebook newsfeeds on a single day.

Now that there are reports that #DevinaDediva has lost her job at a school where she is reported to be working as an assistant teacher and that there are also unconfirmed reports that she may face criminal charges based on the Sedition Act of Singapore which clearly states in one of its provisions ... "to promote feelings of ill-will and hostility between different races or classes of the population of Singapore.", Do you think Devina Dediva got what she deserved? Leave a comment and let us start the conversation.
"Miss Philippines is Miss World? What a joke? I didn't know those maids have anything else in them. Hahaha," Devina Dediva.
A reaction by a netizen after the issue became viral, Was Devina Dediva cyberbullied by Filipino netizens?
It's kinda sad that the Miss World Pageant, an international beauty contest that often talks about "world peace", inner beauty, blah blah has been turned into an avenue for people to hate each other.
What started as a "foul" statement from one totally clueless girl (she didn't know what she was getting into with social media) has turned into a viral form of cyberbullying. Guilty, as I am for spreading this issue and perhaps making the hashtag #DevinaDeDiva a trending one yesterday, waking up to several Facebook hate pages created by others to express their indignation with this poor girl's tirade against the Filipinos and to cyberbully her was not what I imagine would come of this.
It was a verbal attack hurled on not just the Filipina maid, not just to Megan Young, but to Filipinos here and abroad. Yes, she must learn her lesson so that she will be released from the bondage of racism. Yes, she must take a bath and clean her own toilet of inhumanity. But enough said, I'm sure the message has already reached her. Although others won't let up, I say, let's move on. She would have to face the consequences of her actions, and finally GROW UP. Now, Filipino nation, do your own share of GROWING UP and let's handle more important affairs. Thank you and Good am
