Part 2: Chapter 14, Guardian Moon 10/14
I’m kind of surprised that no one else really mentions Dedue. At first I thought it was because no one else had high enough supports with him pre-timeskip, but that’s not the case. I’m glad at least Ashe mentions him, but it’s interesting that the only other character without a crest in the Blue Lions thinks about Dedue. It highlights a class issue that isn’t really addressed in detail.
I feel like Sylvain, Felix, and Ingrid should have mentioned him. They have the most complex feelings towards Dedue when it comes to tolerance, prejudice, justice, and trauma. It would have really hammered in the themes of this path and who they are as people (and also who they will become after their supports with Dedue).
