“This is the place, right? You’re sure?” The flora and foliage reaching for an indigo sky overhead created a scene that was --to put it mildly-- eerie. Though she’d not admit it, the change in locale for this ‘hunt’ was a pinch unsettling. Here especially, she held her vigilance on a pedestal above all else, granting it priority. She’d check over her shoulder into the shadows that gradually swelled and listen intently for anything that would signal danger. Though so far (aside from some crickets and birds if their sounds were any indicator), they were alone. The pace in which she’d walked was altered, and almost subconsciously had Nelliel moved beside Rin-- though the distance was still respectable. Not a peep of the underlying uncertainties was permitted to surface, so another topic came forth naturally. “If this is it, then we shouldn’t have much trouble finding them. Was there any particular reason you asked to come here?”

If there is one thing Perona does well, it’s throw tantrums.
The one she threw upon exiting onto the streets was loud and obnoxious, as one would expect of someone so childish. She has probably stood in front of that door for an hour, kicking it with platform boots and demanding to be sent home...or whichever place she could truly call home at this point. Moria’s ship, Mihawk’s castle, anywhere that wasn’t this dirty, smelly city full of filth and no familiar faces as far as the eye can see.
After her feet had grown sore and lungs had followed, only one course of action could be taken. She needed something to calm her nerves, and nothing would be more acceptable than sugary sweets. She considered herself fortunate to have beli in her pocket and a cake shop around the corner, but she would not consider herself fortunate for the bout of luck that followed. One clumsy foot stomping on her own, and there was a mess of white cream and strawberry on the sidewalk. Precious pastry pieces lay in disaster, never to touch her lips again.
Wait for it.
“You big dunce!! Idiot! Moron!” Perona balls her fists accompanying a teary-eyed look of frustration, shoulders shaking at the combined sources of unhappiness that had managed to gather up in the past hour. She didn’t deserve this, dammit.
“I spent all my Beli on that! You have to buy me a new one, right now! Before they’re all gone!”

「✍」—» When it came down to it, Lavi was a pretty friendly person. Mostly. And hey, maybe it was just a means to an end most of the time, but seeing a lost soul in need wasn’t something he could ignore. Well, most of the time. So the sight of the teenager, just a little younger than himself, staring dolefully at the vending machine situated in front of him stirred the Bookman to action, even if it was just to slide up next to the other and offer a quarter-filled hand. A slow and lazy smile had already made itself home on Lavi’s lips, and he saw no better opportunity to question the person before him... albeit subtly.
“ Need a hand? “

Cats

On the border of the premise of the festival cats were gathering. Swarming in relatively large group at that. However if you’d get a little closer you’d notice someone sleeping underneath them.
And just as you’d do that he’d raise his head cats sliding off just a bit, surprisingly not scratching him as they did. With that some would also hide behind Akagi or just ran away completely. One would however stubbornly cling to Akagi’s shoulder.
“ Oh, hello there! “
