Zokie of Planet Ruby: The Great Tangle

This episode that talked about Afro-Texture Hair is well-written. Ruby's mom, Dee told her that she needs to take care of her hair. Ruby ended up mixing the hair products together because she didn't feel like taking the time to use them one by one which caused her to get tangles. Ruby asked Zokie if he had any gadgets that could help her fix her hair. He brought a gadget which made the tangle anthropomorphic (accidentally by the way) and it became the Great Tangle as the apartment complex was covered by Ruby's hair.

The Great Tangle told Ruby that she is in the situation because she didn't take care of her hair. Ruby then realized that she needs to apply Total Love and Care (TLC) to her hair. Dee also helps Ruby undo the tangles covering the apartment complex. At the end of the episode Ruby learns the importance of Hair Total Love and Care.

It seems like they consider Zokie as part of the family.

Zokie of Planet Ruby Episode 1: "The Beginning Times" Review

Ruby reminds me of myself who also don't have many followers and get very few views on my social media account in contrast to Tweenkle Brite who has tons of followers and views. I also like that her parents give her courage to never give up on her goals of having people appreciate her videos. Ruby looked so happy when Zokie became her first follower. I know the feeling of being delighted when someone tells you that they admire your work.

Zokie of Planet Ruby Summary Episode 1

Note that this summary contains spoilers for episode 1.

The first episode was a 30 minute special. Ruby uploaded a video and was waiting for it to get views, but after she refreshed the page and found out it had no views, she was disappointed and wonder if there was anyone who liked her videos. Her mom, Dee said that she liked them. Ruby thanked her mom for the compliment, but wishes there was some one who liked her videos beside her parents.

Meanwhile on Planet Pludge, Zokie who working for King Pootywinkle as a sandwich maker came across Ruby's videos in Pootywinkle's spaceship and was moved by the videos she posted. On the last video, Ruby announced that she was discontinuing the channel because she had no viewers or followers. Zokie was disappointed and debated whether he should go to earth and tell Ruby that he enjoys her videos or stay to make King Pootywinkle's sandwiches. He decides to do the former and goes to earth.

Back on earth, Ruby told her dad Stan that she shut down her social media channel because it was unpopular. Her dad asked what is popular these days. When Ruby show him a video of Tweenkle Brite. Stan was not impressed by the video and tells Ruby not to give up on posting her videos as there could still be someone out there who enjoys them. Dee and Stan then went on an outing and left Ruby with her maternal grandmother, Grandma Pearl.

Zokie clashed land on earth and Ruby was startled by his appearance at first, but after he walked up to her to told her that he loved her videos and not to shut down her channel, she calmed down. Ruby looked at her mobile phone to see if she had a view and was beaming with joy when she found out. Ruby and Zokie then become friends and made videos together. On one of the videos, Zokie gave Earl the Squirrel a voice.

Back on the Planet Pludge, Pootywinkle is furious with the fact that Zokie went off in his spaceship as Konko showed him the video that Ruby recorded with Zokie in it. Afterwards, King Pootywinkle goes to earth accompanied by Konko to bring Zokie back to the Planet Pludge.

Since Nickelodeon US has treated this show so horribly and also offended me personally by doing so, I figure I should give more attention to it.

I notice in the episode “Extreme Bakeover” Dee and Stan are holding a baby ( who is most likely Ruby) in the background photos.
