This week's Caturday drawing features Gofrette, the main character from a series of children's books by Doris Brasset and Fabrienne Michot 🐈⬛
It also had an animated series produced in Canada, so it also makes this #CanadianToonFanArtChallenge No. 3 (I haven't seen it yet, but it looks cute)
Canadian Toon Fan Art Challenge No. 2: Anne of Green Gables: The Animated Series
This 2000s animated adaptation of the classic novel was shown on PBS Kids in the U.S., which I liked! There's also Road to Avonlea, which I remembered watching on The Disney Channel (they also partly funded that series)🙂
For this week's Caturday here's Chococat, who gets mixed up in a student exchange with his human best friend Louie! The upcoming French series Chococat and Me is based on the popular graphic novel series Chocochat et Moi co-created by the co-creator of Migali, which also gets an animation adaptation!

June 25 was Paddington's birthday!
The original Paddington series from 1976 was among the earliest animated series I watched in my lifetime, on The Disney Channel during the 1980s-90s here in the U.S.! Here's to the marmalade-loving bear!

Canadian animation has always been with my heart since forever and for years, since July 1 is Canada Day, I wanted to draw fan art of Canadian 'toons all month in July!
And I'm finally doing it: 31 days, 31 pieces of fan art featuring Canadian animation! 🍁
In addition to shows that are 100% Canadian produced, co-productions with other countries are also included; some may use Canadian federal or provincial tax credits.
Non-Canadian shows that use Canadian studios for animation service work (i.e. The Loud House, Molly McGee, etc.) won't be included 🙂

The Raccoons was among the earliest Canadian animated series I ever loved watching during its original run on The Disney Channel in the U.S., which also provided some of the funding for its production 🙂
