((It didn't turn out so good because I have the imagination for it but words fail me at this point))
Fenrir shook himself awake, even his extreme human deep sleep was not enough to make him ignore Ruby's whimpers as she clung to him making him sit up faster than one would think physically possible. He shook her gently, knowing waking her fast would probably lose him an eye. "Ruby?" He whispered, brushing her hair away from her face gently with his free hand.
She started screaming, pulling at her hair and kicking her arms and legs out wildly, "No! Not... How... NO!"
Fenrir pulled her in to his arms and held her close, hoping it would calm her to know that she was safe, he didn't even have a chance to move back as she pulled her knife from... well Fenrir wasn't quite sure, she was only wearing a bra and his shirt and boxers.. and swiped at him, barely missing his throat. Luckily it was only her demon knife so the damage was minimal, though Fenrir hoped to clean himself up before Ruby saw him.
Again she stabbed at the air in front of her, missing him by a fraction of an inch, Fenrir tried in vein to remove the knife from her hand but she just cut his arm and kicked him away. Fenrir was getting frazzled, if she kept this up she'd hurt herself. Against everything he stood for, he pounced on her, using his godly strength to hold her down, his eyes turning a horrendous black, devoured by terror at the welp of pain it caused his love, "Ruby!" He growled, hating that he had to use his strength against her.
"Fenrir!" Ruby screamed, terror and tears in her voice "Fenrir, don't leave me!"
Fenrir leant his head closer to hers and nuzzled her neck, "I'm right here, Ruby. Please wake up. You have to wake up."
Ruby suddenly went still under him, then she started shaking violently, heavy sobs taking over her entire frame, fenrir moved his hands from her wrists and sat up, feeling helpless as she curled in on herself and started crying and screaming for Fenrir and her children.
Morrigan padded her way into the carpeted room quietly, rubbing at her tired eyes, her teddy in tow. "Daddy? Why is mummy crying?" she whispered and walked closer to the bed that almost completely towered over her.
Fenrir climbed off the bed slowly and cover Ruby with the blankets, placing a soft kiss on her forehead before picking up the redhead and walking out of the room, "Mummy's having a nightmare, darling. She'll be okay when she wakes up, alright?" He smiled softly, her innocent eyes not noticing the sadness that was present in his.
Morrigan rested her head against her father's shoulder, "Does she want to sleep in my bed? That makes my nightmares go away!" She smiled, wanting to help her mother.
Fenrir smiled and shook his head before kissing the top of his daughters, "I think your bed is missing another beautiful lady, don't you?"
Morrigan smiled sleepily up at her father, blinking her eyes slowly, "Will you chase the monsters away?"
He gently lay her in her bed and covered her with her dinosaur blanket, "Where are the monsters tonight?"
Morrigan pointed to her bookshelf, "Ah, I knew that ladybug book collection was looking suspicious!" He chuckled quietly and leant over the bookshelf, telling the monsters to go away, "All gone." He walked over to Morrigan and kissed her forehead, "Now sleep, Morri, or the monsters will come back."
Morrigan smiled and kissed his cheek before he walked out, turning off all but her nightlight and back into his and Ruby's room, she was awake now, rocking back and forth near the end of the bed, her eyes black and tears on her cheeks. She looked up, hearing him walk in, "F..fen?"
Fenrir climbed on the bed and pulled her into his arms, "It's okay now, my lovely Ruby, it was just a dream. You're okay now." He repeated, kissing her hair.
Ruby clung to him, still crying when she felt the stickyness on his shirt, she sniffed as she saw the red line across his collarbone, "I hurt you!" She cried, sobbing harder, Fenrir just held her closer, running his hand up and down her back, trying to soothe her.
"Shh. Ruby, it doesn't matter.... What did you dream about?"
She got the most distant look in those black eyes and stared for the longest moment before beginning her long explanation, "The most horrible thing ever imaginable.."
