This. Here. Colour.
When I’m asked what colour I love, and I say “Eggplant…Aubergine…Dark Purple, this is the colour I’m thinking about. Specifically the part that is the darkest in the photo. (Oh! And there’s a blue equal to this, but that discussion is for another time.)
That perfect eggplant at the grocery store where you pick it up and look at it, and you want to take it outside and look at it in the sunlight. It’s almost black but no.
It makes your brain say “Ahhhhh look at you. How do you even do this?”
BTW, this dress is from the Dior Spring/Summer 2023 collection that’s inspired by Josephine Baker. I’ll be posting about that.
I saw this dress go down the runway and I heard someone gasp and whisper “Ohhhhhgaaawwd…yessss” (yeah, that someone was me. good thing I was alone in my living room in front of the tv)
Never will I ever get to wear a dress like this, or even have a reason to. I accept this. But I will have something to wear in this colour in my life. Bet.)
