“I had a hard time when the sunflowers started to wilt and fall away. I had fallen in love with the idea of them always being there, bright and an adventure to continuously explore.
I stared at petals wilting into yellow ribboned spirals, soon to turn brown and fall away. And all I could thing was how this flower, loved to feel the sun so much that it couldn’t stop itself and eventually that was its downfall. Too much exposure to the harsh UV rays. That this flower, named after the thing it loved so much, would die quickly because it moved and grew to gain maximum access to the light.
And that was left a sinking feeling inside of me, and it was all I replayed for days.”
