Sonakshi Sinha Is Expected To Play The Titular Role In Paralympian Deepa Malik Biopic
Sports biopic have become a trend in Bollywood industry and audience have been quite impressed with it till now. Starting from Bhaag Mikha Bhaag and Mary Kom to more recently Gold, several sports biopics have been made through which we have got to know some of forgotten heroes from sports arena. Few years ago, Excel Entertainment has talked about the idea of doing a biopic on paralympic Deepa Malik who has won silver medal. It seems that the idea may become reality now. The makers are interested to cast Sonakshi Sinha for the part in the character of Deepa Malik.
According to the reports, Sonakshi Sinha may become part of the movie. Previously, Sonakshi has met Deepa during an event in 2016 and expressed that she is a fan of the paralympian. On the occasion, Sonakshi has posted about it on the social media also.
Deepa Malik has also tweeted, “Sonakshi Sinha it sure was a fan moment. Great receiving the award from the Bindaas girl. Blessings and success is wished today and always.” Replying to the post from Deepa, Sonakshi has said “Ma’am it was a fan moment for me!!! thank you for being you and radiating so much positivity! Truly an inspiration…Deepa Athlete.”
As a woman, Deepa has been the first one from India to win silver medal in Summer Paralympic in the year 2016. Moreover, she has been awarded with Arjuna Award and Padma Shri also.
Last time, Sonakshi Sinha has been featured in Abhishek Varman’s Kalank that is produced by Dharma Productions. The movie has not been successful at the box office. In coming days, Sonakshi is expected to be seen in Dabangg 3 with Salman Khan and Khandaani Shafakhana with Badshah.
