Surrender is a hard word. It is a white flag in the secret place, a yielding of trust and control. Surrender will cause you to plunge headfirst into the deepest places of intimacy with Christ, freeing yourself of the floaties that kept you in the shallow waters. Surrender will cause you to abandon every lofty opinion of man just to know Him more and to glorify Him in every moment of your life. Surrender will not say repentance and holiness with disdain. Surrender counts the cost and concludes that He is worth it and then some. Surrender understands that though God operates outside of time, the time given belongs to Him. Do you have a cannot in your spirit? Get rid of it. There is more to this life than mere existence and personal gratification.
