                    “Do you think I am an idiot?”

          It’s an earnest question: There’s no aggression in his words.  Lee’s eyes are wide and honest, brows raised slightly to show his interest in Shikamaru’s opinion.  It’s a bit bold to ask— Definitely putting Shikamaru on the spot— But it was a question Lee was desperate for an answer to.  He needed the ‘OK’ from the smartest man in the village that he was not an idiot.  

          Because his actions that proved his intelligence were ignored.

          In his several months of being hospital staff, very few valued his opinion and work. Familiar with his brash behavior and loud mouth ( and poor academy scores way back in the day ), coworkers didn’t see him as fit for his job, despite earning his place. On the battlefield, Lee was confident in his abilities even if no one else was— Always had been.  However, the medical field was new territory. He felt as though needed the support of others to prove his worth.  What better support than the smartest of the smartest?

                    “Please be honest.  My coworkers do not think I am smart, and I want to know if it is true.”

My Opinion on; @deerintelect !!!

Character in general: imma be honest here -- i never really thought much about shikamaru. like , i giggled when he was like ‘ im going back to sleep ‘ during the chuunin exams when kabuto put everyone to sleep -- and like , how he was the first of the kids to actually reach out to naruto and be his friend that gets me everytime so im a big shikanaru shipper tbh but that’s about as far as my thoughts on shikamaru go. except that he’s one giant ass mood -- i too would just like to sleep all the timeHow they play them: oof well , i love your shikamaru , you’re so passionate about him and everything that it’s so nice to see tbqh ! the only shikashake for me t b h. The Mun: mana makes me think of mana like u know....... magic -- and mana is MAGIC tbh. everything she puts her hands on turn to gold , and you’re such a great person with all characters that you pick up and basically you’re so nice and i love u sm
