anon did you know fawns begin walking 20 minutes after they're born and soon after start running too fast? so mother deers usually hide their fawns in tall grass or abandoned places so they'll be safe?

think about fawn sam being spotted in his hiding spot. someone is coming and he's so alone and scared. deer mary comes back because she had a bad feeling

fawn sam huddling close to her when strangers come in looking for deer meat,

deer mary shielding her little fawn from the strangers and getting shot in her little head

fawn sam takes this chance and starts running and running on his little shaky legs, over rocky grounds and breaking his bones but he can't stop

finally, he's stumbling into this little space under a tree stump, tired and in pain, and just wants to sleep. but there's something else in the stump already. its a wolf pup. he's stumbled into a wolf den. but thats okay, the pup only wants to play anyway. so he's safe now.
