So do you think they will bring back the director from the first six? Seven was a different person and in my opinion it showed in the movie. I hope they take their time and make eight the final chapter of an amazing journey. I heard it's possibly in New York, but as long as they do more street racing than cop stuff I'll be happy.
Vin has hinted several times Furious 8 will take place in NYC. So believe it. I wish they would bring Justin Lin back (director of FF4, F5 and F6), but I’m pretty sure James Wan (FF7) will be back for FF8. Not to say I didn’t like Wan, but sometimes I was a bit confused with his too fast camera action and artsy angles. Wan felt more natural to me. Hell YAS, for more street racing and less special ops missions!
