“ Yea -- Sure hun, c’mere. ”
Loke lifted the little one up into his arms, knowing how tuckered out she was by the wobbling of her steps. She was easy to hoist up into his arms as her limp, exhausted body collapsed upon his side. Emma’s head rested upon is shoulder and he did his best not to disturb her half slumber as he walked into her room to lay her down, gently. It was slow, smooth movement to rest her head on the pillow along with the rest of her body. Just like any little kid he knew, she had curled herself up as he grabbed the blanket from the end of her bed, and he untucked the covers from under neath her to help the warmth stay trapped within the sheets for easy resting.
“ Sleep well -- I’ll be in the other room if you need me alright?? ”
The lion sat at the edge of the bed, feeling the heaviness from his eyes weigh on his as well. It wasn’t late and Cana was out on a job -- seems staying in the human world was taking a toll on him again. Yet, he didn’t mind it; it was his own magic and he could handle another few days. A hand rested upon the young ones head, running his fingers through it as he gave a quiet huff in his own frustration stirring inside him. Cana should be home tomorrow, thankfully. It had been a long week without her here -- but someone needed to go and she’d been home a lot more then he had. God, this was hard, but it was worth it in the end.
He gave a little kiss to the top of her head, patting her hair before getting up to leave. His own bed was calling for him.
“ Goodnight, sweet dreams. ”
