I want you to remember one thing One thing you’ve always known…. The wind does not have eyes to see which way it needs to blow and yet it is ever-moving planting seeds in the earth to be sown and a flower does not have eyes to see the sun towards which to grow and still it finds its way reaching upward through the soil and the sun does not have eyes to see the light that it has shown and still it shines ceaselessly giving life ever-more and we do not have eyes because we gave them all away so the wind could see the clouds to move that blew in yesterday to let the sun watch its golden glimmer in the mirror of the bay and flowers arise from under ground to see the light of day and the moon know when to shine and all words know where to say and the dust fall back along the window sill into its proper place I want you to remember one thing One thing you’ve always known…. That love is not a thing to see It is only a seed to be sown Guided by the eyes we lent To the wind, flower and the sun But our eyes should never be allowed To see love left undone We never said goodbye (But with our eyes….) and so I never looked away from you Except to watch love grow a heart does not have eyes To see what love it wants to hold And yet it finds its way To the one that heals our soul Love does not have eyes to see And still love always knows…. I want you to remember one thing . One thing you’ve always known. . . . Love does not have eyes to see , But still ….love always knows .
