What exactly is keto?
Basically it’s a high fat, moderate protein, low carb (very low, I think typically under 30g a day) diet which changes the macromolecules your body uses for energy. Because there will be very little glucose available, your body starts metabolising fats to ketones, which your cells can also use for energy via the krebs cycle (whoo biochemistry haha).

It works very well for some, with weight loss being very fast initially because you will also lose a lot of water weight, however I just LOVE carbs haha. I couldn’t do without ;)
