Meggi received a text from someone that was coming in to the city on business and they wanted to see her. Okay yeah. To say she wasn’t excited about seeing a friend would be ridiculous. This is why Meggi worked from home, not keeping regular hours, so she could say yes to life. She shot a text back asking what time they got in tomorrow.
The next morning she slipped a change of clothes in her large purse as well as a few toiletries — just incase she missed the last train home — and waited for their text. She then made her way to the station and rode into the city. Following her GPS she hopped on and off the train and made her way to the hotel.
Looking up at the massive building she was in awe as the doorman greeted her pulling her out of it.
“Morning maam how can I help you?” His face was stoic but friendly at the same time. Years of practice she assumed.
“Oh I’m just here to see a friend.” She assured him. “The building is just too beautiful to not take in.”
He nodded his head and pointed her towards the elevator in the middle of the massive lobby. She gave him a smile and sauntered onto the elevator pulling out her phone to check what floor and room she was headed to.
