I can’t imagine being so close to someone that it feels like we’re one person. This is other worldly.
The only other times I’ve seen people who seem to feel that way, they are twins (and definitely not all twins do... in fact most try to push for independence from their twin), or else it’s something kids might say when they are very young about their best friend, but usually as they grow they develop more distinct senses of self. These two just grew together and never grew apart again.
