At this point, I’m not even seeing some of these characters for who they are supposed to be. When they speak, all I see is the degrassi writers laughing it up over a bowl of popcorn.
If history teaches us anything...this is the beginning of the end
Alicia once said publicly that she wanted Drianca to "get married and have lots and lots of babies". We know what happened there. Munro has publicly said he would like to see Eli and Clare end up together, married with a family. *AHEM* Guys, I'm sorry. I'm not jumping ship, you KNOW I'm going down with this ship. But I am completely convinced at this point that the writers have absolutely no intention of making Eclare endgame. Only couples they perceive as being invisible or unpopular get to be endgame. In fact, I'm pretty sure the way Jonnor is going, the writers will throw a grenade onto that ship before Season 14 is over. I'm resigned to the fact of it. They're dangling the possibility of endgame Eclare in front of us (for sport, I guess?) but I actually think they have no intention of making it happen. Aside from the idiocy of what I'm pretty sure is the impending break-up, they MAY give us a bullshit open-ended resolution in NYC at the end of the season, like "no hard feelings Clare, maybe i'll see you when you come to Columbia next year". But that to me is like Declan/Holly J 2.0 and it still sucks. At this point, I wouldn't even be surprised if: -they have them break up at the end of this block -fucking Lenore dries his eyes and she and Eli get together in the 3rd webisode or some shit -clew becomes a thing -clew stops being a thing because why not (refer to Savvy J 1.0) -the rest is a blur because after all this happens I won't be able to see through my white-hot fury Sorry, I didn't mean for this to devolve into a rant, and I'm sorry for being a downer, but there it is. These are my honest-to-goodness expectations for what's to come.
Season 13 has been going on for a hundred years
It's just starting to get good, but I can't fully enjoy it because the prospect of another 5-6 weeks, followed a hiatus which I'm sure will be far too long, followed by endless, misleading, anxiety-inducing promos, and yet ANOTHER 6-8 weeks of episodes (depending on if they double up some) makes me want to take a nap. Or makes me antsy. Can't decide which.

No victim shaming (what Leo did was atrocious), but Alli is the dumbest fucking character ever. She just magically thinks to marry Leo literally the minute she turns 18, then after going through with it tries to just go back to school (BRB, getting married during lunch period) and hide the whole thing from her parents? All this, getting married to a man that's abused her at least twice now? Come on now.
