6/11/17 Degrassi IRL We visited epitome studios in Downtown Toronto and were able to check out the Degrassi set! We managed to get a real life look at some character houses, famous props and even the famous degrassi school front. The pictures above show just a glimpse of this amazing experience!

Summer 2016

In summer 2016 I once again went to Toronto and met up with some friends. First we hit up the degrassi street and degrassi park again, then the set the next day.  

This time the set visit was a bit shorter because they were filming (season 4 i think) we only got to take pictures in front of the school and dot, which I was totally fine with.  

We met Chelsea Clark who is honestly the sweetest person, and nothing like her character. As we were heading to the front of the school we stopped and took pictures with Chelsea in front of the panthers logo on the wall.

We talked with Ian and Chelsea about degrassi being on netflix and how they knew and had to keep it a secret from the fans and it was hard. Chelsea joked that she didn’t have a job.

Every time I see the front of the school I get excited. Part of me is like “wow they actually film the show here and here I am” We all took our photos in front of the school, some solo shots, groups and with Chelsea then headed to the dot.

Now at the time they had changed the dot look for season 3 and we weren’t allowed to share the photos. I waited till season 3 premiered to post the photo.

After the tour we waited for some of our rides and some of the cast came out and said hi. Amir came out first. He was so nice. I really wanted Dante to come out and say hi, and he did. I told him we were from the same city and he high five-ed me. I didn’t realize how tall in person he was. I forget which cast member it was, but they called Sara from inside and we got to talk to her over the phone. Spencer then came out to say hi. This is the second time I met Spencer.

After Spencer came out, I had to head back home unfortunately. Some of the other girls waited a bit longer and Sara and Jamie came over. I was sad I didn’t get to meet them, but I was happy that I did meet the cast I did.
