Strap your seatbelts everyone, cause it's theory time!
Okay, so I just saw a theory that Gwylan's mother, and or past life, is the Jane Doe from Robin and Pc's childhood. Green eyes, a love for children, and the ability to potentially erase herself from memory? Sounds pretty reminiscent of Gwylan's bloodline to me. It would also explain why there are magical symbols carved into the doorway of the youth ward, and why the Pc has vauge memories of the seabirds lullaby. Not to mention that we know about Gwylan's great grandparent (Mother/Father Goose), and grandparents (Winter and Summer), but almost nothing about their parents, except for one thing that I will discuss later in this theory.
I believe that our Jane Doe was also Bailey's crush. Why else would Bailey keep her picture despite wanting to erase her very existence from all of the orphan's memories? It was also pointed out by the game itself that Bailey was looking not at the camera, but at the woman standing beside them in the photograph in question. That detail probably would not have been mentioned if it ment nothing.
But wait, there's more. What's the one thing that we do know about Gwylan's mother? That she was shot on accident by Eden, which haunts them to this day. And what's something that we know about Eden? That they were best friends with Bailey and Bailey's crush before Eden did something to cause a huge falling out between themself and Bailey. Something that traumatized Eden so badly that they decided to isolate themself from society. Something like, I don't know, perhaps shooting Bailey's crush/a close mutual friend by mistake?
Sorry if this is incoherent, I just needed to get this thought written down as soon as possible.
