Hey, can I somehow summon someone smarter than me on tumblr? Pls?
I'm trying to figure out the "types" of deities based on whether they have absolute control over the thing they are deity of (ie magic, the sea, life, death) or if they are just governing the thing (ie sun, moon, seasons) or if they are just the person you pray to for protection/inspiration (ie travel, marriage, justice, the arts).
Trying to dig in search browsers only yields Wikipedia pages that explain patron vs. matron deities and classifications that don't follow those types of distinctions. It was all links to lists of deities of certain things (death, nature, etc- but as in across different religious systems)
