Favourite Blogs 2012

I've been on Tumblr since January, and I've really enjoyed it; if Facebook is a collection of people I know telling me or sharing things I don't care about, then Tumblr is a collection of people I don't know telling me or sharing awesome things! I've put together a list of my favourite blogs I've followed over the last year (which was so hard, 10 out of 134!)

Dejaju - Ok, this is a bit of nepotism, as Dejaju is my girlfriend, so obviously I must feature her blog! She mainly features posts and pictures of models or fashiony things, which normally aren't my interest BUT she writes and posts such cool stuff that anyone who IS interested in those things should definitely check her out.

Gigidigi - Probably my favourite art/illustration blog, GG's art is always so clean and bright and nice! She has really cool influences and a really great way with colours, and always answers asks really nicely! Her webcomic Cucumber Quest is excellent too.

Gingerhaze - Another great illustration blog, though Noelle tends to post more cute funny doodles than big epic art pieces (though she sometimes posts those too). I love how she obviously loves the different fandom things she posts about; superheroes, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who etc, and yet she isn't afraid to poke fun and find humour in them too!

Oh-Totoro - A great blog which posts gifs from every Studio Ghibli film. This guy has a great eye for the little moments in these wonderful films. He's really hard working and always responds well to his followers.

Dresden Codak - This is such a cool blog for both great illustration and interesting, thought-provoking comic theory. Aaron has some really cool ideas.

Closed For Winter - A blog which is passionate about Health, Positivity, Lady Gaga and Teaching! If you are interested in any of these things, you should follow this blog. The young lady who runs this blog is impossibly good at doing so and so nice to her followers and askers.

Beatonna - A blog run by Kate Beaton, of fantastic webcomic Hark! A Vagrant. Here, Kate posts links to cool historic things or just stuff she likes, and they are always interesting. I always like the thoughtful little mini-comics she posts as well.

Kali Ciesemier - Kali's blog is another great illustration site. Her art always looks so cool and inspiring. She also posts good art theory from time to time.

Magical Game Time - Another great blog that unites my twin interests of illustration and video games, Zac's comics and pictures are funny, thoughtful, emotive and impressive.

From Student To Teacher - An education blog that frequently posts funny, interesting or thought-provoking content.

So there you have it, 10 cool blogs and 10 cool people. I wonder what blogs I'll come across in the next year?
