I HEAVILY believe Izuku forces him to stick to a certain personality, such as the stuttering nerd that's really joyful.

I think in reality, he tends to be extremely nonchalant, and tries to suppress his emotions WAY MORE than Bakugou does. Sure he is shown as a crybaby, but that's mainly due to happiness or for others.

But he never really complained about training, or how he gotten bullied, I think he really does have an ego (unbelievable i get it) that causes him to be 'unaffected'

Like, "i want x y z and i dont give a fk about anything else" basically.

I wonder if his joyful personality is something he purposely built up like Tohru from Fruits Basket. Tbh now that I think of it, Kyo Sohma can be Bakugou in this picture. Tohru loved Kyo despite *idk man im not putting the spoiler here*, because she believed that simply wasn't the real deal, and wouldn't believe otherwise, and while Izuku still thought of Bakugou as a jerk:

he still trusted him enough to tell his greatest secret, trusted him enough with his LIFE. Chased him no matter what, and Kyo/Bakugou both tried to make Tohru/izuku stay away but failed due to their extreme belief in their own selves.

Izuku can be more stubborn, egoistic and idealistic than people may think he is capable of, but I don't mean to portray this in a negative way. I think that for someone so caring for others, he tends to be also eerily careless, no I don't mean reckless, but careless. Completely unaffected mind-set wise. I think even All-might would be extremely affected too at least mentally if he was in Deku's shoes.

Also Deku okay, a crybaby, then WHY did he hurt himself that badly without giving an utter fk IN A SPORTS FESTIVAL to prove his point to shoto? I don't know man but he is the narrator of the story and the fact that his father is not mentioned could /might/ be related to izuku being the narrator.

There is so much to his character but we only get to see the crybaby, reckless, smart nerdy heroic fanboy and hopeful part of him.

Izuku always had insane trust in his own self, reminds me of the blond guy from vanitas who was described as "he doesn't believe in God, he believes in himself." (said blond guy is also sunshine but was literally also like if you dont go by my ideals you are cooked cause I won't give you any other choice)
