My dad left at 3:30am on Saturday morning to drive to Philadelphia and bring me home to Virginia for my two weeks of working remotely. I was able to take a couple of days off earlier this week to rest and recover from the chaos and borderline trauma of last week. The time I’ve been spending out of the city, in nature and with my parents has been so restorative for both my mind and spirit and I feel lucky to be able to have this time and space.
