Elena's white dress was torn and tattered, there was dried up blood splatter marks on it, she walked in the house exhausted and broken from the fight with Katherine. She knew Damon was her comfort and would try to help clean her wounds. She was still lightly bleeding from a wound in her neck that just wouldn't heal. There was a small piece of wood in the wound that stopped her vampire healing from working. Everything felt different, the air felt lighter and it was quieter then normal in the boarding house. She knew Bonnie's spell must've worked, but oh no that meant Jer, Alaric, and Lexi were gone. It hurt for her to breath she gave a shaker breath fighting back the emotion of losing everyone again. She knew Damon had to be feeling the heartbreak, she had to get to him. Be there for him, she wasn't even caring about the fact she was close to faint from the battle with 500 plus year old vampire. She needed Damon and he needed her just as much so she gingerly made her way into the den. That's where she saw Damon. His eyes fixated on a spot in the room. He seemed to have sad eyes. She hated seeing his gorgeous blues carry so much sadness. With his back turned she quietly walked towards him her hand she gently ran up his back. "Damon" she said with a shallow tone. Swallowing hard she cringed in pain from the open wound in her throat. She knew he just lost his best friend. That was why his eyes locked on the certain part of the room. Like he was waiting for him to show himself again. Still there he probably was but hidden to those without sight. She knew how important Alaric was to Damon, Alaric was one friend that never hated the fact he loved Elena. He supported him and thought about Elena's happiness in the process. "I'm sure......" She fought to say out gasping deeply between each word. "He..... misses.....you" she told him. The struggling to breath, and the smell of blood on him was enough to shake him from his trance. She was scared to tell him what happened and why she's fighting to breathe. She didn't know how he would take finding out his ex love was who the cure was used on. This was where she would find out. She was close to collapsing. She grabbed on to his shirt and the other hand came up to grasp the fabric. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she went limp. The exhaustion and blood loss. Her grip on his shirt loosened as her limp body dropped to the hardwood floor of the den.
