Scarlett it’s really simple - regardless of everything else wrong with this, if you’re playing a role that tells the story of someone black, brown, or trans then you are literally taking from those people and communities.

I was using hyperbole to make a point. She talks about how nice she is a lot. She hasn’t been nice to me. Or rather, she possibly has a different definition of “nice” than I do. Let’s go with that.

I think that if someone’s sense of humor or personality isn’t your cup of tea, the “nice” thing to do is just to stop DM-ing them every day. Not to dramatically announce that you are going to block them because they don’t conform to behavior standards that you made up in your head and never shared.

People don’t always agree with you. That doesn’t make them unkind. Respect =/= slavish adoration. She doesn’t understand that.
