     THAT BEAUTIFUL SPLASH OF COLOR across the prince’s face brought a small smile to his lips. There were many things about Yuuri that Amon liked, but how expressive he was would always be his favorite. His face, his eyes, his mouth—one could read Yuuri like an open book from glance alone. As such, long before he had spoken those words to the prince, he knew he would react this way. It was an expected response considering how blunt he had been with his statement and reiteration. These feelings he had were…inappropriate, Amon knew. His duty was to guard and protect the royal family, not…n-not have feelings for them.

     This wasn’t what he was trained for.

     The moment he had lied eyes on the prince, was the moment a red string had been connected between them. The way he had smiled at him…his overall personality was so refreshing for him. Nobles were an exhausting lot. They were filled with deception and manipulative practices that tore at his conscious, but Yuuri… Yuuri was special. The more he attempted to create distance, the stronger his adoration became until it morphed into something far more powerful and IRRESISTIBLE even to him. Amon opened his mouth to speak and break the silence between them, although the prince beat him to it as those soft hands held his own, that timid gaze suddenly filled with a fire that he only saw when the younger male was determined.

     Yuuri might have appeared meek to some, but he knew better. There was a wolf beneath that sheep’s wool. Surprise soon turned to fluster as tanned cheeks became tinged with a faint rosy hue. Services. Did he even know how that sounded? Chuckling softly, he rested his hand against the other’s cheek with his thumb softly caressing smooth skin. ❝I-I was just teasing. You don’t have to do something like that. Besides, it should be the other way around.❞ Leaning forward, he pressed a kiss to Yuuri’s forehead before he too lowered his voice as if they were sharing a secret between them…which was not too far off from truth.

It had been a long time coming and the weather had turned from mild to chilly. Hasetsu had been gifted with a snowfall whether it stuck on the ground or not would depend on if the ground would allow it. Angelique sighed as she lightly tugged down her scarf a little her nose a little red from the chill that was in the air.

As she stood outside the doors of Yuu-topia she felt a little awkward as she carried a package wrapped in brown paper along with a square, black box. Both were tied together with an ice blue ribbon, holding onto each other firmly. With a soft sigh, she reached over and slid open the door, hopping out of her snow boots though the results had her nearly slipping on the waxed floor. “Yuuri~!” she chimed before suddenly hugging him from behind and held the package out in front of his face. “Merry Christmas~!” though it was still a bit early.

Not wanting to intrude on the family time during the eve and the actual holiday she planned on delivering the presents early. When he would decide to open it, the softer package contained a cable knitted scarf made from a cobalt blue to lighter blue gradient and inside the jeweler’s box would hold a small silver chained bracelet with three charms on it; one was his birthstone with a silver setting, a black and silver ice skate, and last was the kanji for “luck”.
