Delicious Distraction || Ella & Roman
To be honest, Roman didn’t know Ella that well aside from the small talk they’d had in passing at the hospital but he knew that a an injured dog was a good enough reason to try to talk her up a little more. He knew that if he were in a situation like that he would appreciate someone doing the same, even if he didn’t know them that well. “I know this great weird little food truck a block or two away that makes a whole bunch of awesome junk. I’m not that great of a cook and my house is kinda far away so I’ll save you the trouble of going through that mess of a place for now.” He insisted with the idea that it would just be easier this way. “Let me guide you to the wonders of cheap, great food that will shorten your life by at least two years.” He spoke as if this was something grand, possibly even a masterpiece being unveiled and bowed.
“This way to enlightenment, Miss Ella.” He offered his arm jokingly while he opened up the door for her to walk through and decided to try and make her feel a little better in case she did go back to bad news once they were done. He was thinking a crepe for himself and if she was feeling up for it trying to find something lighthearted to take her mind off for the issues, though he didn’t think she was going to have too many from what she told him about the accident. Once they were on the street walking he decided he could tone down the majesty of the grubby, yet delicious food a notch or two.
