Been reading Patriarch around my schoolwork on recommendation from @littlefankingdom , and I'm only on chap 16 but one thing in particular I'm obsessed with is the Clark Bruce friendship dynamic, I think Clark is perfectly obsessed with Bruce, which really resonated at the line
"Alright," said Clark mildly, still smiling. "But I'd like you to consider: I wasn't around much when you were burning those other, older bridges. I will be now. And I want you to be aware that if you intentionally hurt my friend in any way ever again, I'm going to be deeply, enduringly... unhappy with you.

I'm salivating Clark needs to be so possessive over Bruce or it doesn't work! They're so entwined they're insane about each other, and would go to war for it.
I crave it, and I recommend this fic ten times over.
