This Magic Garlicky Tofu recipe combines the savory flavors of garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil to create a deliciously addictive dish. The tofu is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfectly coated in a flavorful sauce that will leave you wanting more.
Ingredients: 1 block tofu, pressed and cubed. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. 1 tablespoon maple syrup. 1 teaspoon cornstarch. 1/4 cup water. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Green onions, chopped for garnish. Sesame seeds for garnish.
Instructions: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, maple syrup, cornstarch, and water to make the sauce. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add cubed tofu to the skillet and cook until lightly browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Pour the prepared sauce over the tofu in the skillet. Stir well to coat the tofu evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the tofu. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving. Serve hot and enjoy!
