“You lost, stranger?”
deliinquexcy -- you’ve got the love, florence & the machine
Jasper was certain that his heart stopped when he caught sight of his brother behind the fence surrounding Camp Jaha. He’d thought his brother was long gone, just like the rest of their people. Tears didn’t come like they would’ve before, but it was Spencer and only Spencer that he was willing to talk to once Raven was carried away. And talk he did, giving a detailed account of his time on Earth until the early hours of the morning. He sniffed once, staring up to the bright stars above them and then out into the darkness. “I know I can count on you.” he told him, voice near a whisper. “I can’t say that about anybody else, anymore.”

When he heard a rather pissy remark from the girl, he glanced up and sighed, gathering the things from the ground. Genuinely, he hadn’t slept with anyone. He wouldn’t sleep with a girl if his life depended on it, anyway. Honestly, what had happened had more to do with the fact that he was tired and homeless, and less to do with Violet. It wasn’t a rare occasion to crash somewhere after a party, so when he was scavenging for his bag, he couldn’t help but be agitated with her accusation.
“Look Violet, I don’t know what kind of fucked up shit you think went down last night, but I didn’t sleep with you. I’m gay, you know that.”
Violet put her hands up as an immediate response to his hostility towards her. She wasn’t surprised that Spencer was less than happy with her comment, though the girl was not expecting him to be quite so snappy. It may have come across different than she had meant it, ie; as a joke. Though their senses of humor never quite met eye to eye, that is if he even had one at all.
“ Okay, I wasn’t really suggesting that. But I’m sorry you took it that way and I’m also very sorry the mere idea of my vagina repulses you that much. I just figured you’d want to out of here because you’d have somewhere better to be at this time of day. ”

“Fine—whatever, I promise, but you should learn sooner or later to not come to me with your problems. I couldn’t really care less about them.”
“ You really think if I had anyone else to go to I’d still willingly come to you? You don’t need to give two shits, I’d just appreciate it if you listened. ”
