A year had passed since the day his life had changed forever. The accident brought on a lot of emotions and memories that he often wanted to forget. However, there was one memory that seemed to tug at his heart as each day passed. The thought of Delilah, who went from stranger to a partner in a matter of three days, always made his heart skip a beat. Despite the fact that they were in survival mode, there was something between them that could not be explained. That unknown explanation was starting to eat away at Tom which was why he decided to find an answer. Only knowing the girl by her first name, he packed his bags and moved to her hometown, which was the only other fact that he knew about her. A few had called him crazy and irrational, but this was an adventure for him and a new adventure had been something he was longing for.
After settling into Wilmington, Tom thought it was time to look around for the one he was trying to find. Kind strangers had pointed him into the right direction, leading him to where Delilah had called home. If she wasn’t there, Tom would just have to keep looking, but he hoped this was his final stop. While standing in front of the door a wave of nerves began to overcome him. What if after what if circled through his mind as he wondered if she would even remember him. Tom inhaled a deep breath of courage and knocked on the door, patiently waiting for it to open.
