I've had a couple of days off from posting as the prompts were getting a little bit "samey" I'm also quite hungover today from a few too many drinks last night 😰 • 📚Day 18 off #allthebooksfeb is #instalove ...whilst I'm not a fan of this "love at first site" trope, I feel like it was present in the Delirium series. That's not to say it wasn't a good series, and I did enjoy reading it, even if I was a bit disappointed with the ending. It's still a good, thoughtful, beautifully written and character driven series. A mix of romance and dystopian fiction which is pretty dark in places. I always wanted to draw the Delirium characters from Lauren Oliver's Delirium series, so I drew Raven and Tack. The Delirium series is about forbidden love in a world where love is considered a disease. Note that these books get bittersweet, and some loose ends weren't tied up, but overall, the Delirium trilogy was a good read.

It's still up to interpretation, but it may be true that Raven died at the end of the Delirium series. I only saw a bit of Raven and Tack's romance in Raven's short story. It was sweet how they took Blue in and raised her together. They are the definition of people who have a tough exterior but a soft center. And Raven was pregnant but never told Tack, which would make it more heartbreaking if she died.

I loved Pandemonium, the second book, as much as I liked the Delirium, the first book. It had so much action, angst, romance, and character development. To this day, I am still conflicted about the Alex, Lena, and Julian love triangle, but I'll talk about that more in later posts.

Doch so viel entgeht uns, wenn wir durch all die sinnlosen Benachrichtigungen scrollen. Ein Stück Natur verliert seinen Wert bei jedem Blick, der dem Telefon und nicht ihr gilt.
