DIGITAL COMMUNICATION 

As a Digital Citizen, I will use the digital tools responsible and accordingly. I will use the digital tools to help, to support, and to do the right thing what it is supposed to be used. 

Definition: One of the significant changes within the digital revolution is a person’s ability to communicate with other people. In the 19th century, forms of communication were limited. In the 21st century, communication options have exploded to offer a wide variety of choices (e.g., e-mail, cellular phones, instant messaging). 

Importance: Without the Digital Communication, all the elements of the digital citizenship will be hard to be happened because there is no communication with other people, it will be hard to cooperate with each other. 

Advantage: Having the Digital Communication everything will be easy, it will be easy to cooperate and communicate with someone where ever they are and whenever they are. 

Disadvantage: There are hazards when you are accessing the internet. Through digital communication someone can make hard to others in emotional way, someone can get in the privacy of others by only using of communication.

As a digital citizen, digital literacy should be spread to teach and learn about the usage of the technology to be upheld to any digital citizens.

DIGITAL LITERACY 

Process of teaching and learning about technology and the use of technology While schools have made great progress in the area of technology infusion, much remains to be done. A renewed focus must be made on what technologies must be taught as well as how it should be used.

Importance

As a digital citizen, we should learn the proper use of technology as this will be the one factor in improving our society and with proper usage we could avoid spreading the negativity in using the technology but to demonstrate and practice safe, responsible, and legal use of technology to be use in positive way.

Advantage

Disadvantage

With the usage of technology it needed guidance from the parents as will as it will develop attachment to the technology and might be disobedient and will contradict to everyone around the user as with using it the user might be influenced on whats on the technology.

As a digital citizen, digital rights and responsibilities must be upheld for usto function in digital world. In other words, in order for a person to engage in digital world, he/she must have rights and responsibilities. 

Digital Rights and Responsibilities 

Digital rights and responsibilities is having the right and freedom to use all types of digital technology while using the technology in an acceptable and appropriate manner. The user also has the right to privacy and the freedom of personal expression. 

Importance 

As a digital citizen, students should be aware of the rights and expectations that are extended to them so that they can use technology safely and responsibly. An important component of digital citizenship is learning internet safety. Students need to be aware of the information they are giving out on the Internet to protect themselves from hackers, scams, and cyberstalkers. With these rights come certain responsibilities. One of the expectations of students is that they use the Internet ethically by selecting appropriate materials and citing sources. They must also use technology solely for educational and communication purposes, never for cheating or cyber bullying. The high school has an abundance of amazing technology that can enhance the educational experiences of our students. It is up to you to learn your rights and responsibilities before participating in the digital world.

Disadvantage 

Using technology responsibly involves an understanding of many issues. Most importantly, parents and educators want students to be safe when using technology. Students must understand the rules for technology use within the school and at home so that they can have safe experiences online. Students also must learn the consequences that accompany making unsafe and inappropriate choices in digital world. For example, at school loss of privileges is a potential consequence of making illegal and inappropriate choices online.
