Since the day began, it seemed like her home had turned itself into a nest of cats. Earlier while on her way to feed the cattle in the barn, she’d come across a tiny, black kitten causing a commotion with the bison-- - and if that weren’t enough surprise, she’d returned home just to find three more kittens rummaging about through the living room. Of course, at the time, she hadn’t known there were three of them, and wondered how one small kitten could reach so many places at once -

But with a fresh bowl of milk placed by the entrance to the kitchen, and with what she assumes to be the entire litter all gathered in one spot, she decides that now would be a good time to see if their mother or caretaker was somewhere nearby. Where had these kittens come from so suddenly? And why were they drawn here of all places? 

( Not that cats were the strangest of visitors she’s ever encountered... )

She doesn’t even get one foot outside when she finds another black cat directly on the other side of her cottage door. 

“Oh!” This one looks fully mature, which is a relief to Sheeta; she’d started to wonder if maybe they were abandoned. Crouching down to better speak with the cat, she smiles reassuringly.

“You’re looking for your children, aren’t you? I think I’ve found them; four black kittens.”
